Privacy Policy

Last updated May 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Mira collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Mira website and hosted services. When you self-host the open source version of Mira, your data stays in your own infrastructure and this policy does not apply to that deployment.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information - your name, email address, and organization details when you register or contact us.
  • Repository and code data - pull request contents, diffs, commit metadata, and related discussion from repositories you explicitly connect.
  • Usage data - log information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps.
  • Cookies - small files used to keep you signed in and to understand how the site is used.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve code review and related features.
  • Authenticate users and keep accounts secure.
  • Communicate with you about updates, security notices, and support requests.
  • Monitor usage, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse.

Your Code and Repository Data

Code you submit for review is processed solely to generate review feedback for you and your team. We do not sell your code, and we do not use your private code to train machine learning models.

Pull request data is processed transiently where possible. Review results are stored so your team can revisit them, and are deleted when you remove a repository or close your account.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers - infrastructure, hosting, and analytics vendors who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal requirements - when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
  • Business transfers - in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data using industry-standard practices.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@miracode.ai.

Self-Hosting

Mira is open source and can be self-hosted. When you run Mira on your own infrastructure, your repository and code data never reach our servers, and this Privacy Policy does not govern that deployment.

Third-Party Services

Mira integrates with third-party platforms such as source code hosts and identity providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own privacy policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
